Job Summary
• Reporting to the Head of B2B Marketing, the Salesforce CRM Data Specialist will play a pivotal role in delivering on Canada Life’s marketing strategy to become data and insight led.
• You’ll take ownership of the CRM channel, collaborating with the data and insight team and marketing function to deploy the insight and deliver strategic objectives.
• In addition, you’ll own the B2B data infrastructure and be building and managing data selections to translate briefs into data and CRM activities.
• This role is key to delivering data driven campaigns through smarter targeting and implementation of an overarching email channel strategy.
What You'll Do
• Directly responsible for owning and managing the B2B CRM tool (Salesforce Pardot), managing and maintaining the B2B data infrastructure and understanding marketing requirements and existing data sources to optimise data accuracy, availability and effectiveness. Responsibility for writing programming codes to support future CRM developments.
• Responsibility for collaborating with various internal teams to identify audience segmentation, optimise campaign testing and analyse results. Creating test plans, scripts and bridging the gap between the system and users who interact with it.
• Directly responsible for optimising the CRM platform and devising and implementing actions that will improve the effectiveness of marketing strategies, enhance the user experience and deliver forward-looking solutions, including marketing preference centre development and lead scoring.
• Accountable for ensuring that campaigns are coherent, aligned and collectively driving toward overarching organisational goals with hands-on lead of the creation of best-in-class CRM campaigns.
• Represent marketing and act as the key relationship contact for data and CRM in marketing, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders inc. the senior leadership team, data team, distribution and proposition teams. Training staff to ensure they are familiar with any revisions to software or ways of working.
• Accountable for ensuring that each CRM campaign is fully compliant with FCA, GDPR, regulatory, and organisational standards, with robust data safeguards. Understanding required data security parameters and conducting frequent audits to ensure data security is maintained.
Who You Are
Essential:
• A bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, or business administration
• Demonstrable experience working in a CRM data or administrator role, specifically in automation and email marketing
• Data focused/analytical mind-set; management/segmentation/reporting and skilled in manipulating data and combining data from multiple sources
• Previous experience of working with Salesforce Pardot and/or Marketing Cloud. To include knowledge of Salesforce configuration, workflows, data management, security, and reporting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organisational and time-management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Be able to work as an individual contributor as well as part of a team
• A strong team player, enjoying working collaboratively, asking questions, and understanding other perspectives whilst also taking ownership and working independently
Desirable:
• Wider knowledge of working with other communication channels would be advantageous (e.g. direct mail, SMS, audience matching in social platforms, programmatic digital marketing etc)
• Experience using insight to drive performance
• Both B2B and B2C experience is advantageous
Qualification:
• Demonstrable experience of Salesforce and Pardot (or equivalent selections technology)
• Degree level education or equivalent
• 1-2 years’ experience working in a CRM function
• Salesforce Administration certification is desirable but not essential
