We have opportunities for a number of actuarial students to gain work experience within the company and we are keen to speak with students from an actuarial degree background.
What you will help us to achieve
Canada Life Europe is looking for people to work in a number of roles, such as:
• Developing and testing the Existing Business Projections system;
• Identifying and resolving data issues on the Administration system;
• Product pricing and support;
• Providing Actuarial support to any projects relating to existing business, maturity calculations, ongoing administration or system integrity;
• Data analysis & project work.
What you will need to be successful in the role
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills & competencies:
• Making good progress through their studies;
• The ability to work within a team;
• Excellent communication interpersonal skills;
• Be highly numerate with an ability to meet challenging deadlines;
• Commercial awareness and problem solving skills;
• Good PC skills with knowledge of Word, Excel & Access. Experience in VB or other coding languages would be an advantage;
• Previous experience in a life or pensions office would also be an advantage;
• Working level of German language would also be an advantage, although is not essential.
