Role Overview

Manage, promote and report on Canada Life Group Services (CLGS) Compliance and Governance Framework in line with Canada Life Policies and Governance Frameworks.
CLGS is an Irish services company that provides ‘critical services’ for regulated other Canada Life  companies across Europe. It also receives services from entities across Canada Life. The role will strengthen and co-ordinate compliance for CLGS, its officers and the regulated entities to whom it provides services. 

Team Background

This role sits within our Canada Life Group Service and reports to our Financial and Commercial Director.

What you will help us to achieve

o    In conjunction with CoSec, develop and maintain a Governance Framework for Canada Life Group Services (CLGS); including maintaining terms of reference; membership, committees, standard agendas, minute distribution, etc.
o    Defining the Board roles and responsibilities / developing a RACI in line with the industry best practices with comprehensive documentation including authority limits and managing potential conflicts of interest.
o    Contract Co-ordination for CLGS Intragroup agreements including ensuring they are in place for all services provided and received by CLGS.
o    Co-ordinating CLGS and Entity Level reporting on Intragroup delivery against SLAs, Internal Controls and Regulatory Compliance ensuring adherence to Group polices and regulatory requirements. Ensuring any changes to polices and regulations are consistently followed by Service owners and reporting is updated to reflect. 
o    Coordinating due diligence activities on CLGS 4th party activity and on Intra-Company Agreements.
o    Co-ordinating SLA performance from Service Owners and attestations with relevant policies and periodically report to CLGS Board.
o    Maintaining a consolidated service catalogue and Legal Entity services are provided by and to CLGS.
o    For European Employees and in conjunction with the People and Culture and HR teams ensuring there are consistent HR processes. 
o    In conjunction with the People and Culture team maintaining a list of regulatory training and HR Policies for European Employees.
o    Developing common employee brand - maintain consistent email footer/comms plan/intranet. 
o    Report development for the Board as appropriate.

What you will need to be successful in the role

Self starter and able to manage a wide range of stakeholders. 
- Influence, make recommendations on Compliance best practice and problem solve.
- Set out clear frameworks and policies.
- Create new compliance frameworks and board reporting.
- Create processes to co-ordinate and consolidate MI and attestations from a broad range of stakeholders and summarise for Boards.
