This is a senior leadership role that will set out and execute on a vision for a new centralised asset and ALM Reporting team. This includes people, processes, systems and the associated cross functional relationships.

• Maintain a deep, continuous, end-to-end understanding of CLRe’s assets, liabilities and associated ALM exposures.
• Play a central role in CLRe’s financial and capital reporting, working collaboratively with the relevant function heads, and specifically the production of the asset and ALM reporting. This includes:
- Balance sheet segmentation management
- Asset data and asset cash flow projections
- ALM risk measurement
- Assimilation and attribution of in-period investment and economic experience
- Asset and ALM reporting for economic, financial, capital, liquidity, risk and management reporting
- Asset and ALM inputs into transaction collateral management and reporting
• Integrate information from multiple sources, identify actionable insights, synthesise key messages, and communicate effectively with key senior stakeholders.
• Partner closely with the Asset Strategy and the Balance Sheet Optimisation leads to identify, structure and execute end-to-end ALM and investment value-generative activity for CLRe and Great-West.
• Produce and present relevant ALM reporting materials for boards and committees as required.
• Assess and quantify reporting and operational impacts of potential changes to portfolio make-up, assumptions, processes and systems.
• Monitor and keep up to date with relevant CLRe, Great-West, industry, and regulatory activity. Assess the potential implications and opportunities for CLRe and take action as necessary.
• Lead by example within the CLRe ALM community, contributing to the development of strategy, standards and ways of working.
• Engage with centres of expertise across Great-West to ensure methodological consistency and represent CLRe at relevant internal and external forums and committees.
What you will need to be successful in the role
• A recognised actuarial qualification with typically 10+ years of post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in data management, systems and governance for investment and ALM data including lineage, quality, access controls, and audit trails.
• Demonstrated experience of Financial (IFRS), capital such as LICAT, Solvency 2, ALM and liquidity reporting for (re)insurance companies and in particular how underlying experience and assumption changes materialises through earnings, capital and liquidity.
• Strong understanding of investment and ALM risks, including interest rate, inflation, currency, liquidity, deployment, and reinvestment risk.
• Strong knowledge of asset–liability management principles and practices including matching, cash flow-driven ALM, and LDI approaches.
• Knowledge of international reinsurance and investment markets, products, and industry trends.
