L&D Programme Operations Specialist (German speaking) - 18-month FTC

Role Overview

Develop, implement and evaluate employee training and development plans and programs to support organizational needs. Monitor employee development and training programs, assess needs and results, develop new programs, and modify existing programs.

What you will help us to achieve

  • Provide first line administrative support for L&D activities and programmes, helping to deliver a high quality service to internal and external stakeholders in English and German, in line with agreed service standards.
  • Assist with the organisation and day to day administration of, learning activities and programmes, including scheduling, bookings, logistics, materials, communications, attendance tracking and feedback collation.
  • Support the use and day to day administration of online learning tools and resources (e.g. Success Factors LMS, Percipio), including data maintenance and learner support and simple user guidance.
  • Assist the L&D team by collecting and updating information on Learning & Development needs and by providing administrative and logistical support for the design, delivery and evaluation of L&D interventions within the business unit.
  • Assist with LMS sustainment activities (such as basic testing, launch of new features, basic user training) and help prepare learning reports using defined L&D measures.
  • Provide administrative support for specific L&D initiatives and programmes (e.g. Study.Support@CLE, Better.English@CLE), including invoice processing and vendor related administration in line with finance and procurement procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in L&D, the wider People & Culture team and across wider Canada Life entities, sharing information, supporting each other to meet deadlines and contributing to a positive, service orientated team culture.
  • Take responsibility for your own development by seeking feedback, building foundational L&D skills and staying informed about current learning tools, methods and practices.
     

More specific responsibilities will include

  • Act in a manner consistent with the organisation’s vision and values demonstrating behaviours that reflect these in day to day work.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant risk and regulatory requirements; proactively highlight any risks so that mitigating actions can be taken.
  • Handle learning data within the LMS and associated systems carefully, helping to safeguard its quality, integrity and confidentiality and complying with relevant data protection and information security requirements.
  • Help to prepare accurate learning reports based on agreed Learning & Development measures, to support corporate reporting and decision making.
  • Manage Learning & Development invoice processing and related documentation in accordance with finance and procurement procedures.  

What you will need to be successful in the role

  • Experience in an administrative role; exposure to HR or L&D is a distinct advantage
  • Confident use of IT systems; Experience with SuccessFactors LMS (or other learning management system) is preferable
  • Fluent written and spoken English & German
  • Good understanding of learning evaluation (e.g. feedback surveys, attendance, completion data) is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with data and documents
  • Interest in Learning & Development and in developing knowledge of learning evaluation and reporting.
