Role Overview

The purpose of this role is to support the CLE Management Accounting team in the achievement of its objectives. This will be achieved by performing accounting duties suitable for a partially qualified accountant.

Team Background

We are seeking a part-qualified accountant to join the CLE Management Accounts team. The candidate will report to the Head of Management Accounts in CLE. The team currently consists of eight people, six are located in Germany (Neu-Isenburg and Cologne) and two in Dublin. The total finance function in CLE consists of 22 people.


This is a fast paced role with lots of interaction with teams around the business and within the finance function itself. The main requirement of the role is to oversee the month-end process and to ensure timely and accurate reporting.  

What you will help us to achieve

    Journal entries and review of expenses in advance of month-end.
    Headcount Reporting
    Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
    Ownership of Balance Sheet reconciliations and maintenance of fixed asset register.
    Preparation of reports internally for the Executive team
    Reporting to divisions in the Canada Life / Irish Life Group.
    Query resolution with staff around the business
    Assistance with budgeting and forecasting
    Assisting in engagements with both internal and external auditors
    Review, design and develop reports, systems documentation and procedures/instructions
 

What you will need to be successful in the role

    Part-Qualified Accountant
    Minimum 1 year of management accounts experience
    Advanced knowledge of Excel and SAP an advantage
    Oracle EPM, Concur and Workiva knowlege particularly desirable
    The successful candidate will have a high level of self-motivation
    Enthusiastic and able to represent the company in a professional manner
