Role Overview

Based in Dublin, reporting to the Strategy Office Programme Director, the Senior Finance Manager (Projects) will be responsible for the management, control and reporting of finances, budgets and provisions across a number of company-wide strategic programmes.  Primarily, the initial focus of the role will be to financially control and report on the in-flight efficiency and growth programmes. This role requires a combination of strong financial management, multi-faceted stakeholder management up to executive level, determined resilience and the ability to collaborate with and drive financial outcomes at the most senior level.

What you will help us to achieve

•    Manage and review the preparation and delivery of periodic financial and management reports for key company-wide projects and programmes
•    Control, review and develop the financial management process ensuring appropriate governance is adhered to and financial ambitions are achieved 
•    Establish, report and deliver on financial lead and lag metrics related to programme deliverables 
•    Partner with the business leaders to identify and address emerging opportunities and issues in relation to delivery progress and impact on benefit realisation plans
•    Extract learnings and resulting insights along with initiatives that support continuous improvement of financial management within projects and programmes 
•    Initiate, plan and execute finance projects on schedule and within budget while ensuring they are adequately resourced
•    Identify and apply group wide and industry wide best practices that support the delivery of the company’s operational and
strategic ambitions
•    Create a collaborative and efficient relationship with both the wider programme office and finance teams.

•    Business operational functions such as Risk, Compliance, Legal, HR and Finance

What you will need to be successful in the role

The ideal candidate would be: 
•    A member of a recognised accounting body
•    Experienced in managing, reporting and delivering on large multi-year, cross-divisional transformational programmes
And have:
•    Significant experience of managing a finance team or have held a senior finance position at an equivalent level 
•    Proven track record of delivering commercial value in customer focused organisations at senior level, ideally in the financial services industry
•    Excellent commercial acumen, and a comprehensive understanding of organisational dynamics 
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset that drives commercial results with pace and energy
•    Risk awareness and possesses the ability to identify, evaluate and mitigate risk to match it with appetite at an organisational level 
•    Exceptional communication, visualisation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organisation 
•    Flexibility, resilience and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
•    Political agility and the ability to successfully navigate the enterprise within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
