Role Overview
• Reporting to the Executive Manager European Technology Finance
• This role provides financial objectivity, insight and support into the Project finances and the oversight of resources to deliver the strategic change programmes.
• The role at present has no direct reports, but it may be required in the future.
Team Background
The Senior Finance Manager will be part of the European Technology Finance Team.
More specific responsibilities will include
As Senior Finance Manager, this role will involve:
• Supporting the Executive Finance Manager in delivering the overall Finance objectives
• Responsible for financial management & governance of strategic IT projects
• Production of the monthly management and project accounting reports, ensuring the provision of timely and insightful results.
• Responsibility for multi -year budgeting and forecasting of project costs
• Data analytics & Strategic Financial Modelling for key projects
• Support in the re-design of key business processes within Finance
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint Skills is essential.
• Supporting the evaluation and preparation of business cases for strategic initiatives and wider business opportunities.
What you will need to be successful in the role
The ideal candidate will have/be:
• Excellent presentation, communication and MS Office skills, and the ability to demonstrate a strong track record in using key management information systems.
• The ability to work in a fast-moving environment, and the interpersonal skills required to interact with all stakeholders.
• Experience in financial management & reporting of Business Transformation Projects
• Experience in Business Processes redesign
• Qualified accountant with post qualification experience in business partnering, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• A motivated self-starter who is keen to build, drive and improve financial reporting and processes.
• A strong commercial mindset and awareness with proven technical knowledge.
• Have a proven track record demonstrating the ability to make sound decisions having analysed situations where issues have emerged.
• The successful candidate will have a high level of self-motivation.
• SAP and Oracle EPM systems knowledge particularly desirable.
