Role Overview

To build strong collaborative relationships with senior management in the business and across HR and to take responsibility for the implementation of HR strategy in assigned business divisions working closely with the business to effect people related change with the objective of adding value to the business and to protect the Company’s interest while ensuring fairness and equity in the management of individual cases.

What you will help us to achieve

  • Responsible for the delivery of the full range of HR Business Partner Service to the Group.
  • Manage and coach a Junior BPs and/or HR Business Partners .
  • Lead and engage with HR projects as they arise.
  • Provide pro-active support to assigned business divisions by driving and leading strategic HR initiatives specific to the business area to support the business in achieving their business strategy.
  • Share key HR performance metrics with the business that provide real insight to people agenda and solicit appropriate service feedback in order to drive excellence in people management practices in the business.
  • Actively contribute to the HR Management Team for own business area. Take responsibility and lead in key HR projects and processes.
  • Act as a source of expertise in providing advice and coaching Line Managers in handling conflict or complex people issues and to manage any individual cases that result from such for your assigned business area (Grievance, Disciplinary, Dignity & Respect issues etc).
  • Assist line managers to provide staff with development opportunities to meet current and future performance standards and put in place appropriate training and manage its delivery.

What you will need to be successful in the role

  • Educated to a Degree or Masters level, preferably within HR
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIPD, CII)
  • Significant experience in managing employee relations (and Industrial relations where relevant), providing executive coaching and acting as a HR Business Partner
