Role Overview

 

The Digital Insights & Optimisation Specialist will take ownership of Advice Solutions Conversion Rate Optimisation efforts across our digital estate, with a mandate to drive measurable performance improvements that directly contribute to lead generation and sales growth.

Operating as a strategic and hands-on leader, this role will lead the digital performance and CRO agenda across multiple product teams, championing a culture of experimentation, performance monitoring, and data-informed decision-making.

  • Accelerates Digital Maturity: Build and refine foundational analytics and experimentation capabilities across Advice Solutions, enabling smarter, faster decisions.
  • Enhances Cross-Functional Alignment: Acts as a strategic link between product, UX, data, and business leadership, ensuring performance is a shared priority.
  • Reduces Waste, Increases ROI: Optimises user journeys and marketing performance through data-driven experimentation, reducing drop-offs and inefficiencies.
  • Scales a Performance Culture: Cultivates a test-and-learn mindset across teams, improving speed to insight and accountability for digital outcomes.
  • Futureproofs Digital Strategy: Ensures the CRO program and analytics infrastructure are robust, scalable, and aligned with evolving customer and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Lead eCommerce Performance & Reporting Operations

  • Oversee performance tracking and insight generation across Irish Life’s digital properties and eCommerce platforms.
  • Act as Product Owner for analytics platforms and lead digital performance reporting across sales, traffic, and campaign performance.
  • Build and further Advice Solutions analytics capabilities to support our strategic objectives.

 

2. Drive CRO Strategy & Program Development

  • Develop and lead a scalable, organisation-wide CRO program focused on improving lead generation and sales performance.
  • Own CRO tools, ensuring they are effectively leveraged for experimentation and insights.
  • Establish a streamlined, test-and-learn process that empowers product teams to validate and implement performance improvements through A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Define and maintain a clear roadmap for CRO and digital journey enhancements in collaboration with product teams.

 

3. Market Insight & Proposition Development

  • Conduct and leverage market and performance research to identify customer needs, market gaps, and optimisation opportunities.
  • Translate performance insights into actionable opportunities to support market positioning, customer experience, and new product/proposition development.
  • Actively support the development of new digital products and propositions by providing insight-driven direction and performance frameworks.
  • Lead or co-lead new proposition initiatives, ensuring they are built with performance goals in mind and optimised post-launch for maximum impact.

 

4. Stakeholder Leadership & Team Enablement

  • Lead stakeholder engagement across ensuring alignment of digital performance initiatives with wider business objectives.
  • Act as an internal advocate for performance culture, promoting data-driven decision-making and increased adoption of tools and experimentation practices.

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • 4+ years proven experience in digital performance management and CRO strategy.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree, Digital Marketing, Business Analytics, E-Commerce, or Computer Science.
  • Strong knowledge of analytics platforms and eCommerce performance reporting
  • Expertise in A/B and multivariate testing methodologies.
  • Ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with market research and proposition development.
  • Ideal but not critical: hands-on experience with GA4, Optimizely, Snowplow, and Content square.
