Role Overview

This is a key role for an experienced Digital Marketing expert who specialises in PPC and is driven to understand and find new ways of generating demand in a world that is now informed through AI. The person needs to understand customer insight, can successfully work cross functionally and has excellent collaboration skills

Team Background

This role sits within our Commercial Marketing team and is responsible for driving consumer interest and demand ultimately supporting our Sales target across our channel activities for Life, Pensions; Investment and Health. The Commercial Marketing Team works alongside the Customer Engagement Team both reporting into the Customer & Marketing director.  

What you will help us to achieve

  1. Understand the marketing strategy and manage relevant priorities within the Marketing plan, taking responsibility for results achieved.
  2. Develop and maintain strong day to day relationships across the business, with Agency partners  and with the team.
  3. Manage own workload taking responsibility for deliverables and achievement of results.
  4. Provide support to colleagues supporting idea generation and decision making.
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of team goals. Manage own objectives, and provide support on developing team goals and implementing goals.

More specific responsibilities will include

Campaign & Strategy Management

 

• Responsible for the effective delivery of the annual digital marketing calendar to deliver inward demand for multiple products via PPC, SEO, Paid and Organic Social. 
• Manage, and optimise paid search campaigns to achieve KPI’s and revenue goals.
• Conduct ongoing keyword research, ad copy testing, bid strategy adjustments, and landing page optimization.
• Manage the overall digital budget and allocate spend based on performance and return. 
• Work with our agency partner and internal Digital Team to track and optimise performance

Reporting

• Provide regular reports with actionable insights on website traffic, digital campaigns for all products and identify areas for improvement and conversion
• Monitor campaign performance daily and proactively adjust to hit channel targets.
• Ensure the team are effectively set up to track engagement from marketing/digital activity.  
• Provide digital analytics for the company, provision and interpretation of relevant online/digital activity & performance data and analytics. 

 

Industry Trends


• Stay ahead of changes in the digital landscape and regulation ensuring the marketing team are informed and engaged with a plan to navigate these changes. 
• Conduct regular competitor analysis, and benchmark performance and KPI’s per digital channel
•  Act as an advocate of online, digital and social within the company. 

 

E-commerce 

 

• Work with our Digital Marketing Manager on our overall e-commerce strategy and programme on how we improve conversion rates through e-commerce journeys with relevant business areas 

 

Agency Management 


• Manage the relationship with our external Agency providing insights, feedback and regular interaction to ensure the effectiveness of our campaigns. 

What you will need to be successful in the role

• Strong expertise in PPC – developing, activating and tracking
• Strong expertise in using data and research to drive actions
• Demonstrated ability to identify and deliver new ways of doing things
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of profitability drivers
• Passion for driving change and delivering innovation
• Good communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
• Demonstrable record of inter-departmental collaboration
• Strong attention to detail and project management skills
• 3rd level qualification in Business/Marketing or related discipline
• Ideally Insurance product and market experience.
