Role Overview
The Digital Performance Lead is responsible for maximising the commercial performance of Irish Life’s digital ecosystem.
This role defines and embeds the strategies, frameworks and capabilities required to continuously improve digital engagement, conversion and commercial outcomes across Irish Life’s digital platforms.
Working across multiple business divisions, digital products and customer journeys, the role acts as the enterprise authority on digital optimisation, experimentation and performance insight, ensuring Irish Life consistently identifies and realises commercial opportunities within its digital estate.
The role partners closely with Digital Product, Marketing, Brand, Proposition, Analytics and Technology teams to embed a culture of data-driven decision making and continuous optimisation across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define Digital Performance Strategy
- Establish the enterprise strategy for digital optimisation, experimentation and journey performance across Irish Life’s digital platforms.
- Develop frameworks that enable the organisation to identify, prioritise and deliver commercial improvements across digital journeys.
- Embed a Culture of Commercial Decision Making
- Champion the use of data, behavioural insight and experimentation to guide decisions across digital initiatives.
- Work with Digital Product, Marketing and Proposition teams to ensure digital initiatives are informed by clear performance metrics and measurable commercial outcomes.
- Drive Digital Journey Optimisation
- Identify opportunities to improve customer journeys across acquisition, engagement and product interactions.
- Partner with Digital Product Managers, Marketing and Proposition teams to define improvements to digital experiences that enhance engagement and conversion.
- Ensure optimisation opportunities are incorporated into product roadmaps and delivery priorities.
- Establish Enterprise Experimentation Capability
- Define and implement a structured experimentation and CRO capability across Irish Life’s digital platforms.
- Embed testing, insight generation and optimisation practices into the standard operating model of digital product teams.
- Leverage Insight and Analytics
- Partner with analytics and data teams to ensure user behaviour, journey analytics and performance insight inform prioritisation and optimisation activity.
- Translate complex behavioural data into clear commercial opportunities and actionable recommendations.
- Enable Consistency Across the Digital Estate
- Define standards, best practices and optimisation frameworks that can be applied across Irish Life’s digital platforms.
- Work with Digital Product, Marketing and Brand teams to ensure a consistent and effective approach to digital journey performance across the organisation.
- Identify Enabling Technologies
- Evaluate and support the adoption of technologies that enhance digital experimentation, behavioural insight and optimisation capabilities.
- Ensure Irish Life’s digital ecosystem supports continuous performance improvement at scale.
Experience and Capabilities
- Significant experience in digital commerce, digital platforms or digital growth leadership within a major organisation or digital platform business.
- Strong expertise in digital analytics, conversion optimisation, experimentation and user journey optimisation.
- Proven ability to translate behavioural insight and digital performance data into commercial outcomes.
- Experience working within product-led organisations and agile delivery environments.
- Strong experience working collaboratively with Marketing, Product and Commercial teams to deliver improved digital performance.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple business units and digital teams.
- Strong understanding of the technology and data capabilities that enable modern digital optimisation, including experimentation platforms, analytics tools and digital experience ecosystems.
- Excellent commercial judgement, communication skills and strategic thinking.
