Role Overview
Based in Dublin, Irish Life Assurance plc is a large life assurance, pensions & investment company and the Irish Life Group is the entity that manages the businesses of Irish Life Assurance plc in Ireland. We report to our parent company in Canada (Great West Lifeco).
Covering Finance, Actuarial, Risk & Compliance the role requires EA cover for:
- The Finance Director
- The Chief Risk Officer and Chief Actuary Ireland
- Head of Actuarial Function
- The Chief Compliance Officer
The Executive Assistant will act as the primary point of contact for the Finance Director / Chief Risk Officer with internal/external stakeholders.
The Executive Administration Assistant will report into the Finance Director. They must be pro-active, highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills, with the maturity to handle confidential information. Plans change frequently so flexibility and the ability to respond under pressure to a number of different demands and priorities is key.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritise the Finance Director / CRO correspondence and calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings and travel arrangements
- Provide support to the EA for the Chief Executive (this will be mutual arrangement)
- Management of documentation and papers for key meetings, minute taking where necessary
- Liaise with Executive’s direct reports to ensure priorities are kept in focus
- Coordinate with other executives and departments to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects
- Manage expenses and prepare expense reports
- Event / conference management
- Assist with special projects as assigned
The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience (approx 7-10 years) in a similar role supporting executive-level / C-Suite management
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Confidence to work and interact with a broad range of senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to handle confidential information
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work autonomously or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A commitment to working in a diverse and inclusive work environment
