Role Overview

•    ILIM have an exciting new, permanent, diverse role for someone passionate about real estate. We are looking for a collaborative, creative and adaptable individual to join our growing and developing team, which has responsibility for the fund, asset management and investment transacting of the largest real estate portfolio in Ireland. 
•    This is a market facing role, with one of the most active long-term investors in the market. The successful candidate will work across a number of funds, strategies and sectors providing extensive and diverse experience in a large and growing property investment business. 
•    No two days are ever the same in real estate so if you are looking for variety and work in an area that really makes a difference then this could be the ideal role for you. 

Team Background

Working with the wider property team and reporting to Senior Manager 
The team manages a growing range of real estate strategies, covering multi sector balanced, sector specific, and thematic portfolios, in a range of funds and separate accounts. 
The team has responsibility for actively managing over 100 properties, which extend to 5m sq ft across the office, retail, industrial and residential sectors both in Ireland and in Europe
The team is committed to Responsible Investing to deliver on our net zero sustainability ambition, to create great spaces for our tenants to occupy; and to achieve superior long term performance for our investors.

More specific responsibilities will include

Executing property investment acquisition and disposal strategies, to include investment underwriting, transaction negotiation, due diligence, analysis, and reporting. 

Implementing active sustainability led property asset management solutions, to include leasing and asset repositioning.  

Oversight and management of external property managers with responsibility for review and analysis of all service charge budgets to drive performance and tenant engagement.

Engagement with market players and external professionals representing ILIM including solicitors, property agents and advisors, co-owners and tenants, as well as engagement with a wide range of ILIM teams including finance, pricing, client reporting, actuarial, legal and taxation.

Positively contributing to and supporting the Property Team in delivering on our asset and fund objectives and strategies.

What you will need to be successful in the role

•    Minimum 5 years property experience, preferably in real estate capital markets and/or asset management. 
•    Strong commercial acumen negotiation and property analysis skills.
•    Demonstrate strong personal interest in climate change with a commitment to delivering change through Responsible Property investing and asset management.
•    Team player with excellent communication skills to build rapport and maintain strong working relationships.

Fitness & Probity

This role is a ‘controlled function’ as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011. Any appointment will be conditional on the company being satisfied that the appointee meets the requirements as set out in the Fitness and Probity standards issued by the Central Bank. This requires the company to complete prescribed due diligence to assess the appointee’s fitness and probity.
