Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product & Proposition Manager to join the Products & Proposition Team in Advice solutions.
We are seeking an individual with strong technical capability, deep knowledge of pensions, savings and investment products, and a genuine interest in solving customer problems.
The role will initially focus on managing the protection product suite. As Product & Proposition Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering innovative products and propositions that meet the evolving needs of our customers and partners. You will use your technical expertise, product knowledge and desire for innovation to ensure our offerings are robust, competitive, and aligned with market trends. Your passion for understanding customer needs will drive creative solutions and continuous improvement across our product suite.
Key Accountabilities
- Have and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of pensions, savings and investment products, ensuring all propositions are compliant, competitive, and aligned with best practice.
- Support the delivery of the overall product and proposition strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, ensuring product information is accurate and accessible across the business.
- Analyse market trends and customer insights to inform product development and enhance the customer experience.
- Analyse and interpret complex customer, product and fund data, along with market insights, to inform proactive, innovative and competitive product and proposition development.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure products are relevant and effectively communicated to customers and distribution channels.
- Champion the voice of the customer, identifying opportunities to solve problems and improve propositions through innovation and creative thinking.
Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills
- A qualified or nearly qualified actuary is desirable for this role.
- Strong technical capability and specialist knowledge of pensions, savings and investment products and the underlying funds.
- An understanding of the end‑to‑end proposition lifecycle, from concept to delivery and ongoing management.
- An understanding of customer needs and distribution channels, and how these shape product design and positioning.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for delivering customer-focused solutions.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly motivated, driven, and able to meet challenging deadlines.
- Experience with digital tools / data analytics is desirable.
