As Senior Product Specialist your role will involve:

• Manage product documentation and literature for the ILH product portfolio (Handbook, Hospital Lists, T&C Changes at Renewal etc) 
• Test and review both system and literature changes across the full suite of Product literature.
• Manage the day-to-day relationships with non-medical ILH benefit providers to ensure ILH and its providers deliver great customer service.
• Support implementation of new product and benefit changes to meet ILH’s business goals.
• Support Product Knowledge within the business, completing sign off reviews, monitoring the team mailbox, directing queries from the business and escalating where required. 
• Ensure compliance with Company policies, regulatory, professional and legal requirements.
• Using data and analytics of customer behaviour to determine opportunities and challenges across portfolio.
• Working integrally with Pricing Team and cross functional teams to align customer interest with commercial return.
• Applying innovative thinking and a drive for results to translate customer insights and commercial acumen into propositions which help Irish Life Health’s members lead healthier lives. 

What we are looking for...the ideal candidate should have/be

Product Knowledge 


•    Strong commercial acumen and understanding of profitability drivers 
•    Strong research ability 
•    Passion for driving change and delivering innovation 
•    Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills 
•    Demonstrable record of inter-departmental collaboration 
•    Strong attention to detail and project management skills 
•    3rd level qualification in Business/Marketing or related discipline 
•    Health insurance market experience

What you will need to be successful in the role

  • 3rd level qualification in relevant areas – Marketing, Business or a related discipline
  • 3 years plus  years Marketing or Financial Services experience
  • APA/QFA qualification (role specific)

Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills

• 5+ years of product management experience, with some commercial responsibility with a proven track record of driving growth in the business. 
• Knowledge of Health Insurance market in Ireland and associated regulation. 
• Business management needs and challenges faced by customers, competitors in the space, and emerging trends that could shape new opportunities.  
• Excellent knowledge of the regulatory rules that govern the product landscape including all rules and regulations set by both HIA, CBI and the Revenue Commissioners where applicable. 
• APA in Private Medical Insurance is desired but not essential if candidate is willing to complete the exams in the event the role is made permanent.
